So we got some great news the other day! I’m sure most of you know by now bc we told everyone but Patrick’s chief called and he’s advancing! We knew it would happen but we surely didn’t think it would be happening so soon. His ceremony will be next Friday, June 1st. Alyssa and Pops’ birthday! I’m super excited to be able to be here with him during this achievement and I’m even more excited that I’ll be there to pin him. This picture is what his new insignia will look like, the 2 chevrons (or rockers as they like to call them) mean that he has advanced to 2nd class. Now the goal is 1st class! That will be a long road bc it’s a hard position to advance to but I know he’ll get there. Go Patrick, so proud!

I didn’t quite finish updating y’all one the vacation with TL and Pops! Basically, Saturday we bummed it for awhile and then we got a little dressed up, walked around downtown for a bit and then went to the Ale House for dinner. SO GOOD! The food was delicious, the drinks were strong, the atmosphere was comfortable and intimate and the view! You sit right across the river from downtown so to see that skyline at night is just perfection. We really enjoyed finishing such an awesome week with a nice dinner and quality time. And then Sunday… :( they had to leave.
